This is a three-color crackle batik cloth. The base is a warm yellow, layered with a rich purple, and finished with deep indigo blue. The crackle effect, which is the fine web of color lines running through the fabric, is a natural result of the wax-resist technique and is part of what gives this cloth its character and texture.

Each yard is truly one-of-a-kind, as no two pieces are exactly alike due to the handmade process. Please also note that since this cloth is handmade, the color and pattern may vary slightly throughout the fabric.

This cloth was made using the traditional wax-resist technique, where hot wax is hand-painted onto the fabric, dyed, and removed layer by layer to build up rich, layered color.

Because of the way this fabric is made, each piece was produced in 6-yard lengths. If you purchase more than one yard, you will receive continuous yardage cut from the same piece, up to 6 yards. Orders beyond 6 yards will begin from a new piece and may vary slightly in color and pattern.
